The Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced SEO Specialist - Technical to join a rapidly growing company based in Lagos. With a passion to develop a career in SEO, you will oversee our clients SEO strategies with the intention of ensuring they achieve its ambitious growth plans.

This role will specialise in all aspect of SEO as well overall online marketing presence for our clients ensuring the following;

Responsibilities;

• Ensuring websites are technically sound and optimized for indexation and able to be crawled by all search engines

• Ensuring websites technical errors are identified and fixed as required

•  Ability to gather clients business requirements and objectives

• Involved in client meetings to discuss requirements, make tactical recommendations and present findings/results.

• URL structure recommendation

• Site speed and canonicalization audit

• Keyword research and using webmaster tool

• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Search Console, Excel, HTML

• Develop and promote marketing strategies to achieve optimal ROI 

• Measuring success of business models using data and key metrics 

• Executing online marketing (SEO,PPC,SEM,SMO) strategies for all business needs

• Ownership of the relevant reports, to demonstrate progress in Clients SEO/Online marketing strategies

• Ensuring good working relationships are maintained with all team members and other departments within the company.

 

Skills and Experience;

• Previous experience within a similar SEO role required minimum of 2-3 years

• A solid track record in improving SEO metrics

• Deep understanding of technical SEO

• Understands key algorithm updates and SEO implications.

• Proactive and willing to learn with a positive attitude

• Experience in working with different internal and external stakeholders and managing their expectations.

• Confident speaking with and advising clients.

• An active interest in SEO and digital content.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly data manipulation with Excel).

• Desire to keep up to date with the latest SEO technologies and industry trends

• Self motivated with strong communication skills (This is a Must)

• Active interest in social media

• Good knowledge of social media platforms and experience implementing marketing strategies

• Excellent team working skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure (Highly desirable)
